Developing/Running NewEra 2.12 on NT ?

Hello world. Apologies in advance for asking what seems (even to me) to be a very familiar question, but I've checked the FAQ for a definitive answer and there wasn't one, so... Can you develop and run using NewEra 2.12 on Windows NT ?, and the supplementary question is, Can you run the resulting executables on Win3.1/3.11/95 ? We're about to upgrade from 2.00 to 2.12, and I'd like to recommend ditching Windows 3.11 at the same time if we can. It seems to be agreed that Win95 is ok with NE 2.12 (although I can't hearing whether the executables will work on 3.1/3.11), but we don't want to go to 95 when an eventual move to NT seems inevitable. The other rumor we heard was that NE2.12 + WinNT was ok except for a bug in NMAKE (!) which trashed the error files after compiler errors; we develop in Pcode so this doesn't sound like a huge problem. Thanks in advance, hopefully. -- Ian Macdonald, ikm@labsys.com.au Phone +61 3 9894 2500 Laboratory Systems, Melbourne, Australia. Fax +61 3 9894 3338
