IDS 9.20 Foundation on RH Linux 6.1-scalability?

I have been plunking around w/ IDS 9.20 Foundation on RH Linux 6.1, and need to make a decision whether I want to make this a production database. How well does Linux (with Informix on top of it) scale with additional processors? As well as HP-UX, Solaris, or AIX? If I might throw additional processors at the Linux box, will I be better off to do things on HP-UX? Or, generally speaking, would I get more bang for the buck by going to a better I/O subsystem on the linux box (like RAID10), rather than more processors? Any advice appreciated. Allen
We are about to perform some similar tests and comparisons with RH7/IDS9/Intel server.
