RE: 3 onconfig parameter questions, help
Posted in 2000
NUMCPUVPS - the number of Informix CPU processes. Increasing will allow
Informix to use more CPU power. Decreasing - the converse. Keep as number
of cpu's - 1.
AFF_NPROCS = NUMCPUVPS alwaysAFF_SPROC keep as 1. Unless you do not want CPU affinity, when both AFF
parameters should be 0.
If you have spare CPU resource, increase NUMCPUVPS, AFF_NPROC and possibly
NETTYPE.

Subject: 3 onconfig parameter questions, help
Hi,
I have an E4500 running solaris 7 with 4 cpu's and running informix
7.31. Can anyone explain to me the results of changing these 3
parameters either up or down? Thanks in advance.
NUMCPUVPS 2
AFF_SPROC 1
AFF_NPROCS 2
