RAW-Device - oninit
Posted in 1998
Hello Yall's,
I'm running on a Sun Ultra Enterprise 1 with Solaris 2.5. Im'm trying to
start the Informix Workgroupserver in Release 7.2x on a RAW-Device. I
have made:
--------
ln -s /dev/rdsk/c0t1d0s6 /dbspaces/rootdbs
chown -h informix /dbspaces/rootdbs
chgrp -h informix /dbspaces/rootdbs
--------
Thereafter I have started oninit -i and the result in "online.log" is:
---------
The chunk '/dev/rdsk/c0t1d0s6' must have owner-ID and group-ID set to
informix.
Informix-OnLine Stopped.
mt_shm_remove: WARNING: may not have removed all/correct segments.
--------
Here is the appropriate filesystem-data:
---------
lrwxrwxrwx 1 informix informix 18 Jul 10 18:46 rootdbs ->
/dev/rdsk/c0t1d0s6
lrwxrwsrwx 1 informix informix 67 Jan 28 15:30
c0t1d0s6 ->
../../devices/sbus@1f,0/espdma@e,8400000/esp@e,8800000/sd@1,0:g,raw
---------
When I restart the system I found the following messages in the
online.log
---------
chunk failed sanity check

What have I done wrong? This was my thousends try!
Is anybody there who can help me, I want to change from cooked to raw
devices.
Thanks a lot
