Hi all.
IDS 9.21 running fine on Linux RedHat 7.3 box.
Now, I try to install a test instance running IDS 9.40 on the same box.
oninit -i fails due to a problem with the /var/lib/libpthread.so.0 library.
So I stop the 9.21 instance, rename the library adding ".nouse" to his name,
and restart the 9.21 instance.
Now, oninit -i runs fine to initialize the 9.40 test instance.
And the 9.21 instance is still OK after a few hours of work.
My question: is the following link really usefull for the 9.21 instance:
/var/lib/libpthread.so.0 -> usr/informix/lib/libifxpthread.so ?
Thank you,
Philippe

The /var/lib/libpthread.so.0 link is not needed if your 9.21 instance find
RedHat's i686 version of libpthread:
$ ldd $INFORMIXDIR/bin/oninit
...
libpthread.so.0 => /lib/i686/libpthread.so.0
...
