I'm also pretty sure that 64bit version of informix also has the 2gig chunk size limit. Only machines of 4K pages can have 4gig chunks. Although I think 64bit versions can probably have offsets for chunks >2gig. I haven't worked with XPS (8.x) so I'm not sure of its chunk limitations. I do know that there is work in progress for 9.x and possibly later versions of 7.x to allow 4095 chunks which would double the amount of data we could hold.
