You *should* be able to just use the CSDK (or JDBC or ODBC). The CSDK has got DRDA built into it now. -- Cheers, Obnoxio The Clown http://obotheclown.blogspot.com -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by OpenProtect(http://www.openprotect.com), and is believed to be clean.

You can use the Informix gateway product and set it up in a "distributed" mode. Details can be found in this URL. http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/informix/pubs/library/entgw_73.html However, if you can use Java, then the latest common driver, IBM Driver for JDBC and SQLJ (http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/informix/ids/ad/java.html) can be used for interaction with both Informix and DB2 systems (LUW and z/OS). You need to get data into the client and then push it over to the other system. Note that you will need the appropriate license file to work with the z/OS system if you choose this alternative. VG.
In the administrator guide, check the client server comunications chapter. It has a section dedicated to DRDA. You have to setup an IDS port for use with this protocol. Then you can do as Gopal told you... Currently we cannot run distributed queries between the two servers, so you have to put the data through the client... Regards.
