I've done this a lot using straight SQL, not stored procs, but there's no reason why it won't work. As for running the Java from SQL*Plus or pl/sql - dunno. Been years since I bothered with those primitive pieces of crap. But if you can run an o/s call, you should be OK. Peter Wiley
