ODBC error 126
I have installed the client tools. Now when i want to create a new ODBC DSN i get the error: The setup routines for the INTERSOLV 3.01 32-BIT INFORMIX ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126. Followed by "Could not load the setup or translator library". I have completly de-installed it and then re-installed, it doesn't help. Informix dynamic server Version 7.30.TC6 NT 4.0 Sp.4 Regional settings: English (United States) What is wrong ????????????????
Put <drive>:\\Informix\\bin;<drive>:\\informix\\lib\\pc in your system PATH variable - where <drive> = the drive where Informix is loaded. This has fixed this problem in 3 cases for me. Thank you for the answers. What worked for me is. Goto the control panel Select "regional settings" Check "Set as system default local" And reboot. This worked on several machines. Why it did that is till the question!!!!!!!!!! Hi Klass, It seems that you are using Single-Tier. I think a good idea is to use the Openlink Multi-Tier product as it handles it own communication layer and as a result you will not have to use the remote access software from Informix (I-connect). If you are intereseted in using this product please mail me with your configuration . eg: Client Operating system Server Operating system Database version. I await your response.
