KAIO - where is the M in RTFM ?

Hi all. We were the lucky ones to get a KAIO: out of resources message. We run IDS 2000 9.21 FC2-1 on Solaris 7. Is there a way to tune the kernel fto prevent this on Solaris 7 ? Can we just turn KAIO off ? Thanks, Bogdan Neagu
The M is in the machine-specific release notes; eg $INFORMIXDIR/etc/release. On HP, you can disable kaio by not setting, or unsetting, KAIOON on the session which starts on IDS. I can't recall whether you can do this on Solaris; I seem to remember kaio will be used by default if you are using raw disk.
