Hi, I am having a field which I have to findout the middle values and select into the report. select ctype from type;ctype ----- Computer Monitor MotherBoard 15" Monitor Now I want the result like this ctype ----- p i r o I am running Informix 8.21 under that there is no substr,substring functions.
