RE: INFORMIX TOOLS

We found that we did not have to recompile programs to have them run on 7.20. If you do recompile a program in 7.30, you must recompile all of the forms, etc. If you're using libraries, be sure to recompile them as well. Hope this is helpful Dee Wampler Technical Leader > -----Original Message----- > From: George Ayou [SMTP:gayou@ssg.petsmart.com] > Sent: Tuesday, May 09, 2000 4:31 PM > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: INFORMIX TOOLS > > > I upgraded Informix from IDS 7.31uc2 to 7.31uc5, SQL from 7.20UD2 to > 7.30UC1, 4GL from 7.20UD2 to 7.30UC1 and SQL/C 7.24UC8 to SDK 2.40UC1.2. > On UNIX AIX 4.3.2. > > We keep the source code for the application on different machine and > promote the executable on other production machines. > > Now, > > 1- If the version is different on the test server where the source live > and compiled, than the production server.
