Big User's Group Mtg - Orlando 10/24 to 10/28

A shameless plug. I've been watchin' the ant-hill of activity going on around here, and I think it deserves a bit more visibility. http://www.informix.com/informix/iuc/index2.html A lot of people, both at IFMX and in various partner companies and organizations, are putting a helluva lotta work into IWUC this year. There is a lot of excellent content, coverage of all the product lines, at all levels of interest. On the IFMX DBMS front, got folk like Kevin Beck and Vincent Lefevre gettin' funky on back-up and recovery, Ray "Stone-Cold" Canuel doing what he does best with the admin tool-set, and Satish Katiyar explaining why the text blades do what they do (ever wondered?). This year there is a great line of people who actually use the products to do "cool things", and there's a partner forum on at the same time, in the same place, in case there was something you thought you might want to pick up. It's about $1100 for the whole show. According to our trusty friends at Travelocity it's $~300 to get there from just about anywhere in the country, and the hotel is going to run to $200 a night. (If you share rooms, like IFMX folk will be, it's half that!) So for about the price of a mediocre laptop (or a SQL Server license) you get all this! So learn what's what for not a lot.
