4GL ON KEY Problem

Two questions --------------- 1)I am using an ON KEY(F9, CONTROL-F) statement inside an INPUT statement. Keying CONTROL-F works and moves me into the code in the ON KEY statement but keying F9 causes my terminal window to lock up. have tried other function keys with same result. My system is HP-UX. 2) Debugging in general - Is there a 4GL debugger. have looked at documentation and FAQ which talk about RDS interactive debugger. Don't think I have RDS - r4gl doesn't work.
RDS (Rapid Development System) and the Interactive Debugger are the best way I know of to test your problem. However, another possible cause could the terminal mapping you are using. Many times, a function key failing to perform as expected can be tied back to the entry being used in the termcap or terminfo files. darkemperor_uk <johnsimpson46@johnsimpson46.fsnet.co.uk> wrote in message news:8h3352$1o6$1@newsg1.svr.pol.co.uk... > Two questions > --------------- > 1)I am using an ON KEY(F9, CONTROL-F) statement inside an INPUT statement. > Keying CONTROL-F works and moves me into the code in the ON KEY statement > but keying F9 causes my terminal window to lock up. have tried other > function keys with same result.
