How can I set CONNECT privileges?

Hi All,
I recently installed Informix 7.24 on my Linux box. Everything works
fine locally but when I try to connect to a database from another
linuxbox (or NT box via ODBC for that matter) I get a -387 error (no
connect privilege). I'm logging on as the user who created the database!
How can I set these connect-privileges? (can't seem to find the command
in dbaccess)
Thanks in advance,
Sven Eric, The Netherlands
P.S. I prefer direct e-mail, since my newsfeed is thready (no pun
intended) at best...
Is the username the same on both systems (I think you said that but I
like to check), uppercase/lowercase mix the same? The creator of the
database has DBA permissions which includes CONNECT permissions! In
general to allow a user to connect to a database: GRANT CONNECT TO
username; You might look in TheFineManual. Look in the SQL Syntax
Guide under GRANT.
