Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I'm using Informix ODS 7.30 UC2 on Solaris and
running client application on the same host as Informix server.
The client application uses loopback TCP connection for Informix server.
Informix SQLHOSTS file (/usr/informix/etc/sqlhosts):
server_name ontlitcp localhost service_name
The problem is sometimes Informix server denies access for local user
who using this type of connection?
SQL error number : -951
Thanks in advance!

Try using the real machine name instead of localhost. This is necessary on
Linux;
it is not unreasonable to assume the same for Solaris. I'll put it another
way, I always
use the real machine name on Solaris and have never noticed a problem.
