C-ISAM Datablade & AcuCobol

I currently have 7.31 Online on a Linux box. I'm looking at upgrading to IDS2000 (on the same box) in order to use the Datablades, specifically the C-ISAM datablase to read the datafiles used by AcuCOBOL (GT runtime 4.0.0, Vision 4 file system) applications on an IBM RS/6000 running AIX 4.2.1. My Informix rep says "it looks like" the C-ISAM datablade module will read AcuCobol database files. Is there anyone on this list that can answer the question with a little higher level of certainty?
