For MONEY types, the DBMONEY environment variable is what you need.
It's documented with the other environment variables in Appendix C.
There is a new extended formatting capability added with the 4.1 release
which allows more control over number formatting, and it supports all of
the numeric data types. The DBFORMAT environment variable is the
controlling entity. See page S-186 of the 4.1 4GL Reference Supplement
for details.
