It appears to be searching for the maxfd. If you look further up you will see somthing like:- Oct 11 17:23:03 PH72 kernel: dupfd: fd 16384, max 1024 Oct 11 17:23:03 PH72 kernel: dupfd: fd 8192, max 1024 Oct 11 17:23:03 PH72 kernel: dupfd: fd 4096, max 1024 Oct 11 17:23:03 PH72 kernel: dupfd: fd 2048, max 1024 Oct 11 17:23:03 PH72 kernel: dupfd: fd 2047, max 1024 Showing a binary type search.. If you're really worried I suppose you could comment the warning line out of your kernel. TTFN -- Roger Think of the mess on the carpet. Sensible people do all their demon-summoning in the garage, which you can just hose down afterwards. -- damerell@chiark.greenend.org.uk
