Shared memory over 1.75gb

Howdy Folks,
We want to have our shared memory for Informix set to 2GB. We are running
7.24UC1 on HPUX 10.20. The IFX manuals say, all we need to do is add a HPUX
patch (already done) and use chatr -M to change the executables in IFX.
The question is:
Is oninit the only execuable that needs to be changed ??? If not, does
anyone know the rest of them ???
Has anyone done this....?
TIA....
Susan,
Although I decided not to do this, I have looked into it. We also tried it on
a development machine and it did not work. After making the new size changes
to SHMMAX we tried to rebuild the kernel and it changed it back to the max
size "SAM" wants it to be. (We did not use SAM to rebuild the kernel). We
contacted HP and they were of no help. We eventually lost confidence in the
procedure. The chatr command was to be ran against all the Informix
executables, but we did not get that far. I am now looking into 64bit
Informix on HP_UX 11.0. Informix is saying it works good but we haven't
located anyone that is currently using it. Some of the gui's no longer work
under 64bit, i.e. oncockpit and onperf.

Why do you want to do this? Neil Susan Elliott (ISG) wrote in message <7f5q7k$hv5$1@news.xmission.com>... > > >Howdy Folks, > >We want to have our shared memory for Informix set to 2GB.
