We've had a *lot* of problems with Informix (SE) 4.0; for example, one cannot compile *any* runner under the RDS system for our platform. It appears that they did not even try to run their product before releasing it... They introduced a few new bugs, changed around the way some things work, and ignored many much-needed features (better INPUT ARRAY control and better GROUP BY handling, for example). Although HOLD cursors are nice, they don't make up for the big problems in this product. I've also gotten the feeling that the Informix folks know about this problem; for example, a lot of Tech Support answers are lately falling under the "wait 'till 4.1" category. -- Lee Brintle | ``And so, I leave you with this final word: Leepfrog / Tanj | twang.''
