Re: Slow checkpoints

The way with set explain on .... and so on is right to make the select statement quicker ( the math operation * 0.75 should better besolved in the frontend -> quicker ). But a checkpoint-duration is not a read-problem, its a write-problem. So check out onstat -dD and sum the reads and writes over the disk. If there are some disks with heavy load and other with no load with balancing the load the duration will become smaller!!! How long takes this select? When you send me a onstat -cdDpl i will have a look at it. Bye Rainer
