Yes, it can (we do that with OnBar/ADSM and ontape), but care must be taken
if using incremental backups with OnBar. I think both ontape and OnBar
store their backup timestamps in the same place in rootdbs, so be sure that
the backup AFTER the ontape is a full backup.
