Jonathan Leffler deposited a script in the IIUG Software Repository that
can repair the permissions on the fly or you could call it from an rc
script at the next system boot or restart. I do not remember the of the
script now but you should be able to find it or build your own it needs to
read the correct permissions and owner/group ownerships from the files:
$INFORMIXDIR/etc/*files. These files contain, for each product, four
columns, relative filepath (to $INFORMIXDIR), owner, group, permission.
