here is a function to do what you want FUNCTION draw_horiz(num,x,y,hlp) ## ## Draws a solid graphics line, with help, if requested. ## ## num = Number of columns in window ## x = The x coordinate ## y = The y coordinate ## hlp = 0 if no "HELP" message overwrites line; 1 if it should ## ## 08/02/90 Removed the "user_name" local variable, cause it is now ## global. Included the logic for displaying the ## "wherestr" global variable when help is called for. ## DEFINE num,x,y,hlp,i,vcol INTEGER LET i = y + (num - 1) CALL fgl_drawbox(1,num,x,y) # From libforms.a DISPLAY " " AT x,y IF hlp THEN # # See change 08/02/90-1. # IF wherestr IS NOT NULL THEN DISPLAY " ",wherestr CLIPPED," " AT x,6 END IF LET vcol = num - 27 DISPLAY " Press CTRL-W for HELP " AT x,vcol ATTRIBUTE (REVERSE) END IF DISPLAY " " AT x,i END FUNCTION hope it helps Sean Kedney Skedney@aol.com ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Re: Using DISPLAY to show a solid line Author: informix-list-owner@rmy.emory.edu at Internet Date: 3/1/96 18:23 I think you probably need fgl_drawbox. I can't remember where it is documented, if anywhere. Can anybody else shed light on the documentation? > Hello All, > > Is it possibe to use DISPLAY to show a solid horizontal line on the > screen? > > i.e. DISPLAY "-----------" (or something) AT 12,5 to display a > solid unbroken line. > > Details: > --------------- > OS = OSF 1 > 4gl = 4.11 UC2 > terminal = vt102 > > > > P.S.
