Bug in form!?

Problem: Message from form "This field requires an entered value" when there _is_ a valid value there. Details: Development system is SCO Unix 3.2.4, SE v4.11, RDS v4.10.UE2 Production system is AIX 3.2.?, SE v5.01.UD2, runtime RDS 4.10.UD3 I have encountered the following problem on the production system, which does not occur on the development system. I have a form with a screen array in which one of the fields is a single character with attributes a = formonly.state TYPE CHAR, INCLUDE = ("Y", "N"), UPSHIFT, REQUIRED; and a screen record that includes this (and other) fields. In the program, the variable in the array that corresponds to this 'state' field the form is initialized to 'Y'. Now, this is the only field in the form that is not marked NOENTRY, thus the cursor is always in it. If I simply press RETURN, I get the message indicated above, even tho' there _is_ a 'Y' in the field. If I press 'Y', then RETURN, it is happy, and goes to the next line, where this procedure happens again. If I press the ACCEPT key (without pressing 'Y'), the above message appears. If I press 'Y' then ACCEPT, all is okay. So does anyone know what's happenning here? -SRK -- Dept of Computer Science Internet: stuart@coral.cs.jcu.edu.au James Cook University Townsville Tel: +61 77 814992 Qld 4811 Australia FAX: +61 77 814029
