A given Informix product is ported to a particular Dave, Hi! While I agree that it's safer not to assume anything, I'd like to point out that great effort is applied to ensure that well-behaved applications will not be impacted by operating system upgrades. I was afraid that your shouting might scare someone. :-) Sandi, Hi! When you seek support, I suggest making available the core file, the executable (tbinit), and applicable dynamically linked libraries (one easy way of determining these if you have the scde package is via "truss -topen sdb tbinit core"). If the problem is readily reproducible, a truss trace might be helpful. Try truss -fae -vall -wall -rall -o /tmp/tbinit.tr ... Best! -shawn :-) cat <<EndOfDisclaimer|sed 's/.// /Informix/{N s/Informix \\n>Software/AT\\&T Global\\ Information Solutions/ }' >Disclaimer: The opinions expressed in this message are not those of Informix >Software, its partners or lackeys.
