The LD is not a known parameter is something that surfaces periodically, and I still haven't managed to track it down. It seems to be harmless - usually. The second problem - make failing - is obviously more serious. I'd expect to find that it is easy to resolve; nominally, looking at line one in the generated makefile should show the problem. Another possibility is that there is a stray file 'makefile' as well as the generated Makefile (case-sensitive difference in file names), and the makefile is being used but is a random interloper. If neither of those shows the problem, then a bug report (class B) produced as documented in the README file would be of assistance to me in assisting you.
