I only have a small book on Informix and the section on >PAGE HEADER doesn't say how to NOT print headers. Any help on this >woudl be greatly appreciated. Just don't put a "page header" section in the code. Miss out the keywords "page header", and miss out whatever print instructions you might have put in the page header section. The page header section is optional - as is "first page header". Incidentally, if you are aiming to produce an ascii file uncontaminated with special printing every 66 lines, you might want to set top margin and bottom margin to zero in the output section, like this: output top margin 0 right margin 0 Otherwise, you'll get the default top and bottom margins (3 lines each?) and so get a total of 6(?) blanks lines every 66 lines. This is what I do when I want to write out a report file that I don't mean to print - maybe I am going to use it as input to some other program or sometrhing like that. All the best... Paul
