RE: Re-license Informix Dynamic 4GL
Rodney- IBM has only ever been a reseller of Four-J's software, using their license model. Four-J's licensing scheme is that they try very hard to make sure that their software is only installed as per the license. This pretty much requires you to have support when you do any of the following: Change an IP address, restore a backup, replace a drive where your license is stored, move a drive with a license to a computer which doesn't give the same response to uname -a and probably several others.
