You are going to have to code it into your applications. They will have to capture the actual user's id and insert a session identifying record into a table in the database. Your web browser is hiding the 'real' users ids, so the engine never sees them. Art S. We have recently acquired the FOURJs Genero BDL product and are currently developing browser based applications. My question deals with tracking and monitoring user connections. All users will have a unix account and password that grants a connection to the database. Access through the browser does not interact with the unix login process so the HPUX log files don't capture who is connecting. THE sysmaster:syssessions table shows the current connections. I would like to know who connected , how long connected and when they disconnected. The online.log only shows an unknown user or incorrect password. Successful connections aren't logged. Can someone point me in a direction to look for this information? ******************************************************************************* Forum Note: Use "Reply" to post a response in the discussion forum.
