Re: ISAM error: illegal argument to ISAM function

Hi,
you cannot restore a single dbspace to a point-in-time that
is different from the remaining system. You could have tried
a warm restore of the dbspace before attempting to drop it.
Now it is too late for that.
I guess you have 3 options now:
- Get IBM Informix Tech Support to rid your system of the
database entry (probably dial-in necessary).
- Unload everything else (that you want to keep), rebuild
the system and load the data. There are several options
for unloading/loading that have been discussed in this
list already.
- Live with "the database that cannot be accessed".
[ Drop and rebuild (not restore) sysmaster database will not
help as far as I know. ]
Regards,
Martin
