The guy was full of great statements to the effect that NT will be the only real operating system, that UNIX will be dead within few years etc (it was long ago...) Anyway, I think that VMS is not bad (but beware, Richard: it is dead end!). It is amazing that in spite of the same chief designer and, as I hear here, similar internal architecture, NT is so lousy.
