LAM Chi-fung (cflam@hk.super.net) '''': : Hello all, at first, I use English NT 4.0 and IIS 2.0, and I install : Informix CLI ODBC driver to connect to Informix Server, it work fine. : Recently, I change to Chinese Windows NT server ver 4.0 and IIS 3.0 : (install 2.0 from NT and upgrade by service pack) and problem come! I : backup all the ASP from the English NT and format the HD and install the : Chinese one, then restore the ASP program. After everything installed, I : try use MS Access (through ODBC) to connect to Informix and find no : problem, then I run the ASP again, however, the below message appear on : the browser: : Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005' : Login failed : /mywrite.asp line 300 : (line 299) set RS_CPOHEADER = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.RecordSet") : (line 300) RS_CPOHEADER.Open "cpo_header","dsn=CPO_ORDER_IFMX;uid=buyer;pwd=default", 3,3 The problem maybe come up here. Try to check the Informix's ODBC Driver . : I triple check the uid and password and sure its correct!!! (Anyway, I : can connect with it in MS Access and these code run ok in English NT) is : there any 'crash' between IIS 3.0 and Informix ODBC driver ? The other : different I find between the English NT and the current Chinese one is : the computer name of English NT is NTSERVER and the Chinese NT is WEBSERVER : also, the IIS default user for English NT is IUSR_NTSERVER and for Chinese NT : is IUSR_WEBSERVER (the Chinese NT preserve the same IP as English one) Since the : Informix server and the network is not setup by me, I don't know weather its : the FireWall problem, Informix server problem (only allow specific : machine to connect). Also, the Chinese NT is ver 4.0 (1381: Service Pack : 3). : To make thing more interest (worse) I try install Personnal Web Server : and the Informix CLI on my Cinese 95 and run ASP on 95, to my surprise, : the ASP work!!!! Sure the ASP on NT has some problem with Informix ODBC!!! : Is there anything I need to set for the IUSR_WEBSERVER user ?? : Can anyone give me a hint ? Thanks a lot. : Regds : LAM Chi-fung : (a man drive crazy by the business department) -- 'Z''C'''J'L(maclin) Email:knlau@csie.nctu.edu.tw
