Hi, I have a system that runs on an old version 4 4Gl where the 'c' function _sig_int works a treat (I set a timeout in seconds to force an interrupt after 'x' number of seconds which can the be trapped in an ON KEY event). Now trying to upgrade to version 4.20 but it doesn't like _sig_int anymore (something that has always been the case on V6 and v7 4GL) Has anyone ever found a suitable alternative for this? Thanks for any help you can give me Jeff Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

No, there isn't a reliable way to use the undocumented internal features of I4GL. The signal handling was revised and the per-signal handlers replaced with a pair of generic handlers, and the handlers were made file static. -- Yours, Jonathan Leffler (Jonathan.Leffler@Informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- http://www.perl.com/CPAN "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!"
