Informix and Kerberos

Our university is seriously considering the purchase of Informix. One of the questions we have is with Informix's lack of direction where Kerberos is concerned. We want to use Kerberos for authentication across our distributed applications. We want this to apply to the database as well. Is there any one out there that knows if Informix has any plans to use Kerberos for authentication? Is there anyone who has figured out how to do this whether Informix has plans in this direction or not? Is the DCE/net product an answer to this problem? We are using Kerberos but we have not yet implemented DCE. Our decision on a database is coming up very soon so we need an answer to these questions this week. We have put these questions to our local Informix sales reps but I thought coming directly to the users may provide some information that Informix doesn't have. Thanks for any help you can provide.
