Use Raid 1, and fragment the slow tables across disks. Additionally, we bought 3 RAID controllers the same type - PCI 3-Channel Ultra2 SCSI RAID Adapter (#2494). This's the only RAID controller, IBM offers now for RISC boxes, by their words. However, this controller supports RAID 0, 1 and 5, only. So, we have no Informix's lovely RAID 10. What are your recommendations for an optimal configuration of our IBM box? Thank you in advance!
