Sharing a little more about the situation and what I got. Some tables must be renamed and the constraint too, to keep the company standard names . A alternative for this limitation, is create an index with the same configuration over the constraint to reuse the implict index, drop the constraint and recreate it reusing the explict index, but this is not possible, give error "-350 Index already exists on the column (or on the set of columns)" when try create the index over a constraint. But, if before the first time you create the constraint, you already have the explicit index, this works, because the explicit index is already there. Just drop the constraint and recreate it with the new name. The performance limitation is over a heavy read executed for some reason until constraint created (I don't check where, index or table) . But no sort and write are executed, what is some advantage. Now I have a new item for my next IIUG survey , add RENAME CONSTRAINT support.
