What are other methods to allow for HDR connectivity if .rhosts and host.equiv are not an option? RedHat 4/5 IDS 11.10 and IDS 11.50 Looking at the admin guide the only other option I see is .netrc. Thanks Roy
If /etc/hosts.equiv is not an option, then you might want to use the $INFORMIXDIR/etc/hosts.equiv to enable trusted network for HDR connectivity. The answer was already given to you. But for clarity, can you explain why is it not an option? Thanks and regards. Well the real answer is kerberos but as John L said he has not got server-server authentication working yet. So Johnathan when is this coming? David.
