TUXEDO & INFORMIX-XA

Hi XA fans, I am currently working on a pilot project were we are attempting to get INFORMIX XA working from TUXEDO. Unfortunately there is no working example provided with either Informix or TUXEDO that we can use as a starting point. The following is our basic hardware & software setup: RS/6000 590 running AIX 3.2.5 Informix-OnLine 5.02.UC2 Informix-TP/XA 5.02 TUXEDO 4.2.1 (from IMC) We have followed the sketchy TUXEDO and INFORMIX documentation and have managed to build an INFORMIX TMS. We are succesfully booting a TUXEDO instance with our TMS's and a simple service, of our own, with one SQL Update statement in it. We are able to tpbegin() a transaction from the client and tpcall() the above mentioned service. After the call we unsuccesfully try to tpcommit() from the client, and it returns XAER_NOTA. Here are the exact TUXEDO messages written to the LOG: 212734.aixdvlp2!TMS_INF.57178: gtrid x0 x2e1a079c x2: CMDTUX_CAT:423: TMSWARNING: tms_manage one-phase commit xa_commit return XAER_NOTA 212734.aixdvlp2!?proc.52849: failed to commit transaction,1: LIBTUX_CAT:21: transaction can not commit The RDBMS locks remain on the Informix table after this sequence. If anyone is working with TUXEDO/INFORMIX-XA we would appreciate hearing from you. Please send your replies to 'denis@magna.com' and I'll post a summary to the NET. Regards, Denis
