Matt, If you are more familiar with access than Informix I would recommend making all of your changes in access . Then exporting to ASCII files and importing into Informix. On the other hand if you are more familiar with Informix. Export to ASCII files now import into Informix and make your changes there. I want to develop it in informix and use access, or perhaps html (asp) as a front end. In the informix version I also want to alter the design slightly by breaking the tables down a little more. My question is what is the best method for getting the existing data into the informix database? Should I build an exact replica in informix and make the adjustments after the im,port or no?
