I have clients who update the database on the outside. I want to use replication to update the internal database. The problem is that I need to set up the external databse as a trusted host. Obviously, for security reasons I can't do this. Can someone provide a solution. > >Thanks in advance > I'm not sure how helpful this will be, but OpenLink software's ODBC drivers have a component called the "Request Broker" that allows for sophisticated security control. You can control which machines, users, and applications have access to the databases. The software does not compromise the integrity of the firewall, but acts as a logical addition to it. If this sounds like something that you might want to use, you can visit our web site at http://www.openlinksw.com or email me at ledsall@nospamopenlinksw.com (you'll need to remove the "nospam").
