I have installed informix4gl720ud7 for linux.
When I try to make a .4gl file executable appears - error -4604 found in 4gl
module.
In .err file - The following errors were discovered during compilation:
/usr/i386-pc-linux-gnulibc1/bin/ld: cannot open -lcrypt: No such file or
directory collect2: ld returned 1 exit status.
Thanks for the help.

Which version of Linux are you using? Which kernel version, and
which glibc version?
I've not seen that error with I4GL, but it used to be a problem for
ESQL/C produced on RedHat 5.2 migrated to RedHat 6.0 -- so I suspect
that you have a newer kernel/glibc than was used to create I4GL. Under
RedHat, there is a compatability compiler and library on the CD's which
you can install. Details in the D4GL corner of the IDN web site at
Informix.
