I would not wish to put an accurate figure on the improvement since we never did any accurate measurements at the time. We were just happy it was fast enough. I would say it was of the order of 15% but that is an educated guess. Besides any performance benefit we gained on IBM AIX would not necessarily apply to you and your application running on Linux. If your current system is currently far too slow, you've exhausted the possibility of better performance through tuning and you're looking to upgrade the hardware then KAIO probably isn't the panacea you're looking for.
