Which version of Informix??? If you've got IIF2000 then you can do it all in Informix, otherwise check out the DBI/DBD perl modules, which I believe Informix now support Paul Watson # WF Software Ltd # You are only young once Tel: +44 1436 674729 # but you can be immature Fax: +44 1436 678693 # forever www.wfsoftware.com # > -----Original Message----- > From: hungxana [mailto:hungxana@hknet.com] > Sent: Thursday, June 22, 2000 3:36 PM > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: INFORMIX and PHP > > > Hello everybody, > > We have a Informix Dynamic Server Database that running on > AIX. It also needs access to a database server, which might or might not be on the same machine as the web server. PHP is a bit like mod_perl; it is a processor that can be built into Apache. If you've got mod_perl installed, you can run Perl utilities, including DBI and DBD::Informix. PHP also has (optionally) built-in support for Informix databases. It seems to work adequately, though there isn't a good way of passing values into statements for placeholders (unless you happen to be using blobs and only blobs). > > From: hungxana [mailto:hungxana@hknet.com] > > Sent: Thursday, June 22, 2000 3:36 PM > > > > We have a Informix Dynamic Server Database that running on > > AIX.
