Re: -23101 Error

Looks like you are using ESQL/C v. 7.20 or above. This versions include the Global Language Support (GLS) which requires setting of specific env. variables : DB_LOCALE, CLIENT_LOCALE, SERVER_LOCALE. Since you are using ODS 7.1 you haven't the GLS and, I suspect, this is the core of conflict. I assume that you are using the French NLS . So, in this case you should set the DBNLS environment variable for the ESQL/C clients. If you are not familiar with NLS, look into the "SQL Reference Guide" for details. Regards , Taras. P.S. Judging my own experience the Informix 7.1x is very capricious on SCO v.5 , so the better way is to update ODS to version 7.22 (or 7.23 if it is already available).
