I don't know for this exact problem, but even Informix now know their ODBC drivers wheren't exactly the best arround. They reasently changed from Visigenic to Intersolv as their partner, so you may want to upgrade when the new CLI is available. In my experience however, Openlink is the better alternative, so you should check with them as well.
