With respect to the "accuracy" the git tool is actually right on this one. Its a number which can not be independently verified. So since you're still with IBM and the quote is still on your website, we can infer that you were given permission to post this "news". Regardless of the contents of the news, ethically the use of your blog to intentionally "leak" news that IBM wants to get out, but is not willing to make a formal statement, is weak at best. I mean, don't get me wrong. Its great news. And if anything, it says alot about how Janet treated IDS all those years. But more importantly it also says that you're a company shill and that any "opinion" that you post is of questionable value.
