Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
from the command line use sperform -d
it prompts for dbname, table name and form name ( I think). This
should give you a better chance of catching an error message.
It could be the number of tables you have in the database?
Sorry not sperform, should have said "sformbld -d"

Thanks for that. The IT manager erstarted the database which fixed the
problem so it's too late to try the sformbld option. Worth knowing
about though.
Thanks again.
