Cursor with hold on DBD:Informix 1.00?

Does anybody knows if DBD:Informix has the cursor with hold feature? Is there any example available? I intent to use this to build a script that performs big deletes. I am using Informix 7.31.UD1 with AIX 4.3.3, Perl 5.00503, DBI 1.14 and DBD:Informix 1.00 PCI. Thanks in advance.

There's implicit support for it when AutoCommit is on in a MODE ANSI database -- it has to be used to make any cursor work. There is some provision for them in non-ANSI databases, but I believe the code is non-operational. Patches happily and gratefully accepted. (IIRC, one of the hard parts is telling DBD::Informix you want such a critter.) You should probably be looking at upgrading to Perl 5.8.5, DBI 1.43 and DBD::Informix 2003.04 -- and IDS 7.31.UD7 and CSDK 2.81. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2003.04 -- http://dbi.perl.org/
